Microscope Slides is a flat thin piece of glass used to hold objects for examination under a microscope. The AccuQuik™ Microscope Slides are manufactured from high-quality glass with rigid quality control to ensure maximum flatness without impurities or defects. They feature perfectly cut microtome sections and fine ground edges that ensure reasonable thickness to allow for maximum resolution of the structural components. The microscope slides can be used for both dry mounting and wet mounting. Dry mount specimens, such as feathers, airborne particles, dust and dead matter, are usually inorganic and can last a long time. For wet mounts specimen, tools such as tweezers, liquid, pipette, and paper towels might be needed. Our microscope slide provides a sterile and easily controllable condition for proper examination of specimen.

Usage
General Information
AccuQuik microscopic slides can be used both for dry mounting and wet mounting.
– In dry mounting a thinly sliced section is put in the middle of the slide and then slid is put on top of the sample;
– Wet mounts are usually used for living organisms and wet samples that contain water, glycerin, brine and immersion oil;
– In a suction mount, an extremely thin cross-section of a specimen is used (cut using a micro-tome);
– Lastly in smear mount, a smear is made by carefully smearing a thin layer of a specimen across a slide and then by applying a coverslip on it.

How do you prepare microscope slides?
There are fours common ways to mount a microscope slide: 1) In a dry mount, place specimen directly on the slide and use a coverslip to keep the specimen in place, 2) In a wet mount, use a drop of water to suspend the specimen between the slide and coverslip, 3) In a suction mount, use a microtome to cut a thin cross-section of a specimen before mounting and covering with a coverslip, 4) In a smear mount, carefully smear a thin layer of specimen across a slide and apply a coverslip
